I had a major erosion problem on the side of my house - dirt was eroding onto the sidewalk and out into the street. I hired Plano Landscaping and decided to replace the sod in the majority of my yard last September. They did a fantastic job, and all of the sod that they installed survived. I followed their instructions, and it worked beautifully. They also installed extenders to my gutters that ran underground to the sidewalk which eliminated further erosion.
