I'm not sure how much worse the automated payment system could get. Dealing with 'Peggy' is by far one of the most infuriating things to deal with.

Is there anything worse than dealing with PG&E? The payment plans mysteriously disappear without notification and the full amount becomes due with threats to cut your service. Normal payments fail without explanation and of course you’re charged a fee. Their phone service takes hours. And somehow, after all this extraction, they’re constantly in financial trouble. Not the CEO, of course, who brings home $17 million while running what is essentially an outsourced public service.
