We recently moved from Vancouver to Hillsboro with our 9-month-old baby and had an appointment scheduled with NW Natural for gas service activation. The technician arrived around 12:40 PM, but unfortunately we were stuck in heavy traffic during the move and reached home by 1 PM.
We immediately called to apologize and requested a same-day reschedule or any emergency accommodation, explaining that we had just moved in on Thursday and currently have:
No heating
No hot water
No way to cook prope
The WORST customer service! Their “Paymentus” bill provider is one the WORST payment providers I have ever worked with; COMPLETE CLUSTER!
Then they charge a reconnect fee but they say any time between 8AM - midnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a complete mess and unfortunately they hold the power!! I wish we could get rid of them and use someone else.
Also the most RIPOFF-THE-CUSTOMER-AS-MUCH-AS-WE-CAN utility company on the West Coast (okay maybe 2nd behind some utility in CA).
They sent a tech out to my new apartment over a weird smell coming from my wall heater at 11:30pm. My building was built in 1909, and I’m new to natural gas and new to my building. I spent all day moving into the new place and every time I opened the door to my unit, I smelled a slight bit of propane/garlic?! I thought I was going crazy since there were no other symptoms. The tech was able to use his gas meter to detect a very small non harmful leak from the pilot light of my wall heater and wre
