Buyer beware. Lumina Solar provided a written sales proposal that significantly overstated my expected 30% federal solar tax credit. Their sales team calculated the projected tax credit using a financed contract price rather than the underlying cash value of the equipment and labor. Second update: Now our system seems to be working as intended and is almost paying for itself. I signed the contract in June 2025. Got all permit approvals by Oct 2025. Didn't get scheduled for install until late Jan 2026. I got a fairly large 32.2kw system and 3 Tesla Powerwall 3s. The install for the solar piece took around 6 days. Lumina has been working on the Powerwalls now since early Feb 2026 and they are still not in service as of the day of this review 5/9/2026. I got off to a rough start with Lumina. I think because of the end of tax credits In December 2025 they sold more systems than they had time to install. After a good bit of back and forth I was out on the schedule for April and the job seemed to go smoothly. The Lumina sales rep, Gabriel Shabtai, was a pleasure to work with. While we ultimately did not move forward with a solar install because it simply wasn't the right fit for our home, Gabriel explained everything thoroughly, answered every question I had, and provided me with multiple quotes to try to make the project work for me. I never felt pressured during the process. If we ever change our minds, Gabriel at Lumina will be the first call we make.

So very happy with our solar pa els from Lumina Solar. They worked with us to get the amount of panels we wanted for our energy needs. Great installation and cleanup. They worked with us to get all applicable rebates. We just got a refund of $293 from Pepco. Our next purchase will be an EV to take full advantage of the panels.
