June/July 2025 HEM tested our house for air leakage (we reduced it by 49%) by HEM increasing attic insulation (R8 to R49 - 513% improvement) and installing new flooring. HVAC airflow was improved by duct cleaning and sealing. Also new bath fans and water heater installed. The team at our house was awesome! Rating is really 4.5 stars! After going to Dominion Energy website, and selecting energy audit, Home Energy Medics came out and did audit, provided proposal, and work was done about 9 weeks later for my condo. Subcontractor did HVAC duct work, and Home Energy Medics did remaining work next day. Home Energy Medics crew was professional, and on time. I didn't always feel comfortable with communications, which is why I did not give 5 stars, however overall the experience was good.

Ben E. performed our audit. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and professional. We work from home and our dog was in the house during the audit. Ben did his work thoroughly with without disruption to our day or our dog! He involved us as much as we wanted, walking us through his process and answering questions. We look forward to getting his report and seeing the breakdown of options for making our home more comfortable and energy efficient!

The team provided a thorough analysis of our house, and was very professional throughout when we did the full home audit. However, they did not inform me that the work would not be able to be done until February, when I am trying to better winterize our place, when I paid the $595 for the audit that I had hoped to apply towards the project. While it was a very thorough analysis, I have been disappointed in the process that followed.
