In January 2023 Ecoattics (Cliff & Tobey) completed an attic insulation project at our house in Carmichael. They removed old loose fill cellulose, air sealed accessible attic connections, installed radiant barrier stapled to rafters, installed approximately 14 inches of blown in cellulose insulation (Sanctuary by Greenfiber).  R-value is approx 3.6 per inch.  R-value in attic is now approximately R-50. The project has greatly reduced our air-conditioning costs. I highly recommend Ecoattics!!
