My gas was completely closed off by National Grid due to leaks. I contacted Big Apple Installations and Nick Rosen responded without delay. During one of the coldest NYC winter nights that we had ever seen we smelled the faint whiff of gas near the gas meter room. Armed with soapy dish water in a spray bottle we found small imperceptible bubbles forming along one of the ridges of the joints in the pipes. Called Big Apple plumbing who had us call National Grid to come and shut off the line. Unfortunately I had called National Grid in the afternoon and they showed up at 6pm and shut off the whole house gas line. No heat for the night,
